Pin Striping

If you can believe it, my new to me 2006 4.8is was pin striped by the previous owner. The dealership was to have them removed prior to shipment. They failed to meet this condition of sale as I received the truck yesterday with stripes. How are these things applied? Will I have any problem if I heat gun them and peal 'em straight off?

If you remove them, they will most likely leave a 'shadow' that will look even worse.

If they are indeed the tape type of stripes they will come off quite easily without any damage to the paint. If they are painted on they can be removed but with a lot of work best left to a professional.

it sounds like a condition of sale, why are you worried about how to remove them?

take it back, let them do it, if it sucks they can repaint it

They (dealer) are in Ontario and I am in Alberta. They "forgot" to remove them prior to shipment.

They are vinyl and will be removed by my 3M guy. He tells me it won't be much of a problem. Dealer is sending me a cheque...how nice.
