Week 1 of CPO (new problems.. ahhh)

Hey Everyone,

Purchased an '02 X5 3.0i on January 18. Took it in for them to fix a passenger door lock issue (frozen) since it wasn't part of CPO. This should have been a concern to me.

I get there and they tell me it needs Inspection II. I figure ok, what the heck, expensive but would be nice to know everything is good for the foreseeable future (as long as I plan to own vehicle).

I get a call saying that a CV Joint / Boot is cracked and its spraying everywhere. Talk to the service rep, saying its not covered under CPO. Fortunately I have this site, and find CPO inspection guidelines. Turns out car needs to be inspected every 2k miles or 6 months. Last inspection was last April.

Tell service manager this, he doesn't know what to say. He said never seen this before, calling Sales Manager to take care. So far, things not boding well for my first BMW purchase Will wait to see what they come back with.

This calls into question every other area of the CPO inspection. What avenues do I have to pursue this if they reject it? Can BMW NA do anything? Should I go back to sales people?
