Turning Signal

Today i notice that my left turn signal is blinking very fast. Sometimes it blinks fast and then goes back to normal. Then it says check side lights on the instrument cluster. When it blnks fast the the front left signal and the fender light don't blink but the tail light blinks. When it the left signal blinks normal on the instrument cluster, all the lights works just fine. Can someone please help me out to see what i should do by myself or is it something i have to take it to the stealer?

You need to change a bulb, I think. Your message isn't very clear but I would guess you need to change the left turn signal that is blinking fast.

the left turn signal on the front end is not blinking along with the side marker when the instrument cluster signal blinks fast. So i am guessing change the front end signal Light?

Talking

Do you mean that as BMW owners - who after all DO own the road - you actually use your turn signals?

It should not be necessary to tell those other nuisance drivers on 'our' roads where we are going. They should automatically get out of the way and permit us through.

Of course we should show some manners to our fellow Beemer owners by using the 'after you please' wave. Although I suppose the 'No, No, after YOU please' can get a bite tiresome after a while.

The bulb may not need to be changed. If it sometime blinks fast and then goes back to normal I would say it is a bad contact with the socket. It happened to me twice. Remove the bulb and put it back in and see if it blinks again.

I had this problem with my Audi, then the just stopped flashing.. It was the flasher relay that had gone.

Has anybody seen the email doing the rounds about the BMW product recall?
It was so funny, basically the email claimed that all 3, 5 and 7 series BMW`s were being recalled because they had faulty indicators..
Then there was a little statement about BMW drivers being a little awkward, but worded a bit differently. Glad they didn`t mention X5`s
