I have a 03 x5 3d

The steering wheel and the buisness radio have the buttons for the phone operation

My question is can i purchase the blue tooth kit and install myself or am i not prewired ?

What are my options

since it's a 2003, your car is prewired, unless it's different in Europe.

Do a search from the menu above... there is a lot of information here regarding adding a Bluetooth kit to you 2003 X5. It is not very difficult at all.
