AFE recharge kit for K&N

I took the AFE cai of my X5 and put on the regular airbox with a K&N air filter. The K&N filter felt a little dry, and I was wondering if I could recharge it using an AFE recharge kit?

Yep, I usually clean and recharge mine every 50,000 miles. Depends on how dusty of conditions you drive through as to the recharge time.

I only had about 500 miles on it, when I installed an AFE cai. I put the air filter back in its box for about 2 months. I took it out today, it felt alot drier, than before. It is about the same as the AFE cone and my oem filter.

If you ever take it out again, make sure that you put it in a sealed plastic bag of some sort. If you remember that when you bought it it was sealed in a bag.
