If you want to spend the dough, cop an Extended Maintenance deal for another couple years:
it will cover a brake job, an oil change, maybe Insp II, and other "maintenance"/non-CPO stuff. Shop around and lots of threads on this board about "where to buy". Otoh, that ~$1800+ could be in your bank and just use dough when you need a maintenance item fixed. GL,mD

I have a '05 4.4 going out of basic warranty in Aug (similar to you).
I don't have CPO and am leaning toward not purchasing the extended warranty. I have 35k and I figure, in 2 years I may get up to 55k, and don't think I should get into too much trouble. (But I can do a lot of maintenance and repairs myself.) I understand a lot of people feel better with a warranty, or they tend to take the car in for most services, then I think a warranty and maintenance contract is good (especially because service is so pricey.) So shop around and post the deal you get, so others will know. good luck! |
