Need some Advice on rims

I am going to order Style 128 replica rims in silver and i was wondering what size i should get. i am going to get either 21x10's or 21x9's all the way around. i know my stock 17'' rims are 7.5's and in the new bmw catalog for 128 style rims it shows the front wheels are 21x10 and the rears at 21x11.5.

What size would be better to go with? I dont want the wheel to rub on the wheel well when i turn or i dont want the rims to stick out too far past the wheel well either. Does anyone have any advice on this?

i am getting 285/35/21 michelin tires

would this set up have the same rolling diameter as my stock 17's?

thanks

A stock 235/65-17 is 29.3" in height and 9.25" wide (I think this is the OEM size for a 17" X5 wheel, I should add).

Your new tires will be roughly 28.8" tall and approximately 11.25" wide.

They should not rub anywhere. Some in here are running 285mm or wider upfront (I'm running 295s at all four corners) and the OEM size in back for 20" wheels is a 315mm width.

Good luck, and be sure to post pics.

thanks

The wheels i wanted to get are style 128 replicas (the 21'' rims in the e70 x5 2007 accessory brochure) I called the bmw dealership and they told me that those rims would not fit on a 2001 bmw x5 because the 2007 bmw x5 is a completely different vehicle. He said something about the hub not matching of fitting? Is this correct or will those rims fit on a 2001 x5???

I found out that the hub is different on the 01-06 and the 07's. (i got the specs over the phone but do not remember the exact numbers but they are different) the oem style 128 will not fit on the 01-06's because the rims are made for the 07's.. the replica style 128's will fit on the 01-06's because of how they are made
