Sport springs vs Aftermarket springs

I want to lower the front of my X5. Mine is not a sport. I was wondering if putting the sport springs would lower it, or would i be better off with the Aftermarket springs.

I do not want to void my warranty, and i dont think that they would notice if i had springs from a sport.

Does anyone know, how much lower the sports are?

It would lower it but won't even be by quarter of an inch... You're better of with Eibach springs but if you decide to go with the OEM sport springs let me know since I have a pair available.

The Sport springs lower it 10mm. Eibach's will lower over 1" (look at their site for details). Running the Eibach's on stock shocks is not a good idea since the reduced shock travel WILL damage the shocks over time. If you want to lower your ride as much as the Eibach's do, get aftermarket shocks like Bilstein, as well.

Really you should run sport shocks with the sport springs as well since the sport springs are of a higher rate. The non-sport shocks are designed for lower rates, so your ride will be a bit bouncy with the Sport springs as they'll be a little underdamped. In the interest of doing a proper job, I would try to find a Sport strut assembly (springs + shocks) if possible, if I were you. If you can't find Sport shocks, your non-sport shocks won't really get damaged, but you will suffer a bouncy ride.
