How to clean your Black Chrome Exhaust??

My black exhaust pipes have seen better days. They are discolored and ugly,

What are you boys using to clean these suckers?

Thanks

get 2 baby bottle brushes from Wal-Mart. One to use with soap when you wash and one to use with some chrome polish. the bristles are just hard enough to clean and won't scratch. clean inside the pipes and all over. works fantastically on my remus pipes

I use a 100% cotton towel on my pipes, given they don't have chrome nor the black chrome.

But on my (here we go again) LS400 and LS430, I use a special polish, I'll get the name when I go downstairs again. It's in a blue bottle, I think it's called Blue Magic, I can't remember. Made for polishing stuff. Avaliable at WalMart.

Any updates on good products to use here?? The Black Chrome tips on my X5 are starting to look pretty dull and it seems nothing I do can get them shining again. I have tried a number of the usual remedies (Nevr-Dull, mild rubbing compound) to no avail. That film is NASTY....help!

oven cleaner... but test it on the underside of the pipe first to make sure it's ok.

this post was brought back from the dead... i now have remus and its almost as dirty as my old black chrome exhaust. I still like the mothers metal polish. you can rub the chrome into a mirror like finish.
