Is the leather in 4.6is different from 3.0
The leather in my x5 looks a bit grainy? It is a 02 3.0 with sport package,rear HVAC,Xenon's etc.. Does it just look that way or if there a difference in leather?

I'm sure its the same for the 4.6is, but my 4.8is was smooth as well. Its called Napa Leather.
Here's a pic. Makes me miss my X5.

my 4.6is looks similar minus the vertical seams on the seat backs.

The 4.6is and 4.8is came with Nappa leather which is finer-grained and softer than the Dakota/Montana leather on most other BMWs including the X5 4.4i and 3.0i.
