guarantee on my X5
new to the forum my 2004 x5 has just suffered a broken gear box!!! anyone know if the guarantee from bmw on the egarbox is 2 or 3 years thanks guys |

Um, if it is a 2004 with under 50K on it, it is still under factory warranty. If you are not under warranty, no there is no "guarantee" from BMW.

re warranty
thanks for the reply
actually car is in the middle east where the standard warranty is only 2 years but for gearbox there is cover for the 3rd year and the car was registered 12 th march 2004 and now they tell me the car needs a new gearbox ......12th march 2004 plus 3 years makes 12th march 2007 BUT according to the dealer it ran out 1st march 2007.......they are asking BMW for ''goodwill'' ..i.e no charge to the customer ..otherwise i coudl eb lookign at usd14k!!!!!! heres hoping BMW take the correct route |
