Question haggle down pay off amount?

i was just wondering once my lease is up, can i haggle down the payoff amount or is that a set price? (I have a 2006 x5 3.0i fully loaded. Sticker said $52900.)

It is a set price I believe.

you signed the lease. the price is set. if you dont want to buy it at that price, they will CPO it and resell it.

Just went through this with the buyout of my 2004 X5 lease. BMWFS will not negotiate the residual amount on one of their leases, at least that's what several of their reps conveyed to me. I was fortunate that my residual was well below the wholesale price, even after I had the car CPO'd and purchased it through the dealer.

I've purchased two prior vehicles at lease end and was successfully able to negotiate the residual down. However, these were leased through traditional banks.
