Stupid question but I guess you would need to get the paint from the BMW dealer right? I'm still torn between doing that or just saving the cash for the actual spoiler itself.

Are your headlights original with the amber piece removed? Looks great with the clears and chrome rims. I have a 2000 X5 4.4 that I want to remove the amber corners.

I like your creativity a lot. With those tailpipes, it looks much more compact & sporty, to me, then 4.6is spoiler/pipes!
Your might wanna throw in running boards too!

Speaking about trend! Since your so good with taping, you can maybe paint lower part of front bumper before you install the decorative skid plate. Because I think it's impossible to put plate over 4.6is front spoiler!?!? I've never seen that combination before!

Picture below is KirkX5m's variation with 4.6is front spoiler and underride guard.
Curious about your opinion?

Mike!

I don't think BMW makes, or I couldn't find any, spray paint. I simply matched a Ti paint from AutoZone. Make sure to clean the surface well and prep the area to be painted with adhesion promotor. It'll cost all of $10 and a couple hours of your time!

Yep...Headlight baking is a piece of cake. I wish I had removed the other lenses soooo, I'm going to re-bake, remove the lenses & install AEs soon. I did go ahead and install PIAA Extreme White bukbs all the way around (high, low & fog). What a differance.

Running boards are on the list...probably next month. I'm working on the interior now. So far I've got a hard wired V1 with conceeled display in the ashtray, BMW gas, brake & footrest pedals & chrome instrument rings. I've got a new M steering wheel on hand and woking my local stealer for a good price on the airbag & am about to order a Ti interior trim pakage (my light poplar will be for sale soon). I'll certainly post pics once complete but want to wait to get the full affect

lol ya it's tricky...I also just taped up some news papers to prevent over spray. I just used Krylon Mettalic silver paint from Home Depot...its held up very well for the past 2 years...I assume it would be much harder to match other colors...nonetheless it gives that extra color on the back bumper for very little money!!
