issues with 4.8is
1) Oil pan gasket leaking needs to be replaced 2) power steering fluid seems like its leaking from reservoir/and power steering lines(might not be,because i have had a problem with power steering that was fixed due to 360s in the snow,it was fixed) so maybe they just found some left-over fluid but who knows 3) Control arm bushings cracking ________________________________ Do any of these fixes require taking off the front bumper because i have xenon fogs w/ballasts and everything, and i dont want the dealer being like oh we cant take your front bumper off due to the aftermarket install of the xenon fogs?

1. Not so common.
2. Our PS lines were just replaced, but at 80k miles. Don't think it's that common. 3. Expect to have this problem many more times. |

do you have your service work performed at Bellevue BMW or BMW Seattle? just curious, cause i was using Bellevue for my 4.4i (closer to my home)but a month ago i bought a used 4.8is and have been taking it to Seattle. much happier with their service dept. |
