issues with 4.8is

So at 35k miles these are the problems that were found;

1) Oil pan gasket leaking needs to be replaced

2) power steering fluid seems like its leaking from reservoir/and power steering lines(might not be,because i have had a problem with power steering that was fixed due to 360s in the snow,it was fixed) so maybe they just found some left-over fluid but who knows

3) Control arm bushings cracking

________________________________

Do any of these fixes require taking off the front bumper because i have xenon fogs w/ballasts and everything, and i dont want the dealer being like oh we cant take your front bumper off due to the aftermarket install of the xenon fogs?

1. Not so common.
2. Our PS lines were just replaced, but at 80k miles. Don't think it's that common.
3. Expect to have this problem many more times.

Sorry to hear about the problems at such a low mileage. Just out of curiousity, do you drive your X a bit spirited?

Imola,
do you have your service work performed at Bellevue BMW or BMW Seattle?
just curious, cause i was using Bellevue for my 4.4i (closer to my home)but a month ago i bought a used 4.8is and have been taking it to Seattle. much happier with their service dept.

ya much happier with Seattle then Bellevue! Bellevue first of is doing their stupid remodeling which basically slows them down like hell! i went in there to simply get my car checked up and the earliest appt they had was a month later

I went to seattle and they took me in like a week and were very nice about it.. and also bmw of bellevue treats u as if ur a nobody, they think they are the shit..and i understand sure i guess im a "kid" at 21years of age that drives a bmw, but in any case i do drive a bmw prestigious vehicle and i should get serviced just like any other customer..
