Is this an issue or an X5 thing?

Hi!

I just purchased my first X5 last week. It's a 2002 3.0 with 63,000 and Navigation system.

When I was ready to change the CD magazine, the system did not detect any CD. I clean and reorganize the CD's, looked at the Forums, red the owners manual and it seems like I was loading the CD's the right way.

As a last resource I put the key in the ignition, turn on the radio an all the sudden...it worked! Is this an X5 thing or just the system getting old. I've had several cars with CD changers and I don't remember having to turn on the radio to load and unload CD's.... Other than that, I'm very happy with my X5 just hoping to upgrade my wheels soon.
