ambient temperture sensor


the picture above is the ambient temp. sensor .do any body know how to replace this sensor or locate where it this sensor at? on 2001 3.0i and the throttle position sensor 1 and drive- by- wire throttle position monitoring.

It is in one of two places. Look under the chin on the left side. There is a little pocket in the bottom of the air dam in front of the left front wheel. You need to lay on your back and look up at the bottom of the air dam. The other place is in the brake cooling duct for the left front wheel

how about the drive-by-wire throttle position monitoring and throttle position sensors? where is those lacated?

Drive by wire goes from the gas pedal to the computer. Sensor is in the pedal.

The TPS is on the throttle body.

I have a 4.4 so sending pictures would be pointless. You can go the realoem.com web site and look at the IPC for any clarification.

Folks this is an old thread but i did not feel that starting a new one would be a good idea...

I don't have access to the WDS while at work, and was hoping that somebody could post me a wiring diagram for the ambient temperature sensor for E53, 4.4i, 2004 model. not sure the month of production.

I need to re-crimp the loose wires and insert them into connector but I need to know which wire is pin 1 and which wire is pin 2 - this is for a friend's car.
