Talking Video Clip: '04 E53 X5 4.4i with Magnaflow X-Pipe & Supersprint Exhaust

Finally here's the video of the '04 X5 4.4i with Magnaflow X-Pipe & Supersprint Exhaust.

Exhaust Specs:
Supersprint Exhaust with Flat Oval Tips (looks like the 4.6/4.8 tips)
Magnaflow 2.25" Inlet/Outlet X-Pipe

Sorry couldn't wait long enough to get the engine warmed up but raspiness goes away once the engine is at proper operating temperature.

Enjoy!

Here's a more detailed post by NCX with Video clips and photos of the Magnaflow X-Pipe install.

Sounds great! I wish the 3.0 sounded like that when I put the straight pipes on. How much did the x-pipe cost you?

Tijan,

Let me find out and I'll post the measurement tomorrow as I can't remember of the top of my head since I've had this mod/setup even before the DC Meet.

Sounds great Eugene! Which SS did you get - performance or race? Can't really see the tips in the video - are they the ovals? Very nice man!

perfect sound...
which SS you've got? is it possible to buy SS without any chrome tips? (i've got 4.6/4.8 tips already) how this will affected on price?
How did you installed the X-pipe...did you need any additional straight pipes to add to X-pipe? or just cut out the resonator and the X-pipe matched the same space/size?

Thanks! - I have the flat oval tips which look similar to the 4.6/4.8 tips. I think they only make one version for the X5 as far as race or performance.

I love the exhaust note! They only offer it in Chrome tips and any modifications will have to be done by the buyer. And as you can see in the picture above, it'll be best to keep the tips.

The x-pipe definitely needed to be connected to some straight pipes as it's not long enough to cover the length of the OEM resonators.
