BMW WARRANTY? Can I cancel it & get $$ back?

Last year after purchasing my 02 X5 I came on this board and you all directed me to Macon BMW in Georgia for the purchase of a BMW warranty.

It was a 2 year 100,000 mile warranty. My question is this, I never did use it or put a claim in on it, and now that I am trading in my X5 can I cancel it?

If I can cancel the warranty who would I call for that and would I get a portion of my money back? WOuld they prorate it?

I hope so!!!!

I thought for sure many of you would have cancelled BMW's warranty's when trading in your X5's..

Any advice?

I believe you can cancel it. At least that was what I was told when I bought mine. Call 1-888-283-0912. That is the number for the "contract administrator".

Good luck and please report your results.

Add to price of car when you sell it. It will help in sale and buyer knows he is covered.

Good point and question, G...
in the brief overview official PR of the 2OP program that I've
read it does not address any transfer ability. And, I can't
find that issue addressed in the CPO deal, which is basically
identical.

BluesClues only has a year or less left, time-wise coverage so
it may not be a huge selling point, if transferrable and it
may be academic.
