Unhappy Xenon bulb (update)

Update: Got an 2003 headlight open afterall with some sort of spray the mechanic used, damn that was a less of a headache, thought i was goin to have to buy a single headlight for that side. I also just got some new 8000k bulbs and got the lights cleared with the black inner pieces painted. I will post pics of that soon.

So, Now:

I wanted to ask if someone knows how i can change my xenon bulbs without removing the headlight. How is it done, and can it be DIY or go to the stealer. I would like to do it myself but i am wiery about dropping screws or anything iike that if its a complex thing to do. I dont want to damage the bulbs either, because of the price of them, so can someone show how to install....thanks

Scroll to the bottom. 3 screws and the clip in the article to get to the bulb then twist off the ignitor and bulb retainer.

no problems for me, they are a piece of cake to take out. I did it when I baked mine. Zulu is right just 3 screws and a clip. bulb comes right out.

No it can be done ...carerfully with the lights in the vehicle. Just don't drop a screw!

You might as well remove the headlight and not take the chance losing the screws. Only 4 bolts hold it in

Mine come right out without the bumber being touched, but this might be different for facelifted X's. Not sure what year yours is. On mine just remove the 4 screws, and slide out and to the middle of the car (there is a painted/plastic body part attached to the bottom of the light) sliding out and to the middle disconects it from the front quarter pannel clip.

got them in

Well after sweating bullets not to break of lose anything, i finally got the 8000k bulbs in the headlights. The lights look great, cant notice any difference in the day but lets see what happens at night, and who said they might look ricey, far from it, ferrari more like it, lol, for real tho, the bulb color is nice. My lights look so much better now that i cleared them and got the new bulbs, i will post pics once the rainy weather in Vancity brightens up with some sun!

thanks for the help, esp, ninch!
