Headlight washher question

Not sure I'm reading the manual correctly...
Do the headlight washers only work during periodic front windsheild washings? If so, is it with the button-press method, or the lever-pull method? Otherwise, is there a way to just blast the headlights?

Is it me, or are the included owner's manuals written very poorly?

I think the headlight washers activate every 4 times you pull the stalk and the headlights are on. If you really want to rinse them you can hit that "S" button on the right-hand stalk, and they'll go on.

I don't think the headlights have to be on, though.

Pressing the "superwash" S button also does the headlight wash, but there is no way to just wash the headlights without also washing the windshield.

On the 330 the headlights have to be on for the washers to work, period. I dont know if it's the same. You're probably right though.
