X5 sluggish

I was out driving this afternoon, it was about 92, and noticed that the X felt sluggish and it was slow to accelerate. I was flooring it often, but it still did not want to go, even in sport mode. Anyone in southwestern states notice anything similar? Any ideas or suggestions on what to do? Thanks.

i noticed that my x is more efficient when it's around 50-55 degrees; it just feels like it wants to go

when it's higher, i find it to be lazy like me

Well of course cars run better with colder air. Its denser. If your X is running sluggish its probably a bad tank like was said earlier, but you might also want to check your airfilter.
