About 75% of the time my key works fine, the other 25% it will not work. When it does not work I have noticed that if I manually unlock it, press the button inside to pop the truck, and open then close the truck. Next with the drivers door opened if I lock it with the key it will start working again for a couple of days. I have a new key and have had it back to the dealer countless times for this. The last time they gave me new keys.
Any thoughts??

Just my luck... Once I pulled into the dealership the keys started working again. The dealer said that since it was not acting up they cannot determine what it is to fix it. They scanned the system and found no faults. Does anyone know what this could be? The only other thin that I have notice was that when I shut the engine off the battery light in the dash blinks on for a second. Does this happen with all E53's ?

For the hell of it, take it to a local parts dealer and have them check the battery. It could be weak.

They called me up and said that they think it is either the main module or the keyless entery antenna, but they cannot just start throwing parts on it without actually witnessing the problem. So... I guess it will just hang out at the dealer until it acts up again.
