Roof rack cross member for X5?

Hi all! I just found in eBay some auctions for roof rack cross member that said for BMW E46 and E39 touring with roof rail. Just wonder if they can be fit for my X5 with roof rail. They look no difference with the one for X5s. Thanks for any input.

is it the one made by BMW? the Profile 2000? if so, i don't think they do. i have a set on my car, and the package and instructions only mention the X5 and X3, they have a set width

but aftermarket ones from Thule or Yakima are sideways adjustable to fit width wise, so they would fit

The auction said they are original BMW product. So do you mean the length of the cross bar may not fit X5? I saw the clamps also could be ajdusted to move inside and outside. Below are the link:

yeah...

the length on the e39/e46 ones are 44" (acutal bar)...and can be only set from 34.5" - 40" from center...

they will not fit the X5...
