I'm back and ready to mod (need opinions)

Hey guys, I just finished my move to Scottsdale and I needed some input on choices. I have an 05 4.8 black sapphire mettalic on black. I have decided on HRE 647R's but I am having trouble on selecting a finish. I am going for the 22's, would you think that color matched black would look mean? Or should I go the safe route and get brushed? I have been thinking about this for a month now and havent been swayed one way or the other. Any input would be appreciated. Also, maybe someone wouldnt mind doing a photoshop? I'll get a side shot done today.

Thanks

Wow, that's a lot of wheel...

I think chrome is a little too much with such a big wheel

and the silver well is too plain... hmmm what shoes would look best? How about two tones? Black inner with a chrome lip.

Hehe, it is a big arch though and I am not messing with the suspension. It would either be chrome lip and black center or chrome lip brushed. I too hate all chrome. I think the blacked out center will make it look a bit smaller than the brushed. Thoughts?

BTW. any chance of someone with PS changing the hue on that white one to black black? I just got a new laptop and only have paint

Check out Wuzin's post with pics of 22" HREs with charcoal finish. I think they look good with chrome lip.

You're back? Where were you? :welcome: to AZ. Where did you move from? I live in Chandler, and go to Scottsdale often. I would love to see that ride sometime.

Greg

p.s. It's good to have another AZ person here

I keep trying to talk myself out of the black center, but dayam it looks good. Im sold on the black/chrome lip. Now, silver or red BBK? Also, has anyone removed the roof rails? I think it would improve the lines. Opinions?

BBK? Are you referring to brakes, exhaust, ect? I will assume brake calipers since you mentioned red. Normally I would be a purist and say red, but with the chrome lip - silver is the way to go. Regarding the roof rails... WHY? They match the vehicle and are very practical for bikes, luggage, snowboards, etc. You have a X5 not a Suburban, that extra cargo capacity on top could come in handy.
