Exclamation Hood Roundel/Emblem & Mats

Greeting to everyone,
I need to replace the hood roundel/emblem that is chipping off. It is hard to believe that we pay for a brand that last less that 5 years to peel off. You will think BMW will make this roundels paint proof. I just started this year to use a local car wash facility and the paint on the roundel is almost completely off. Pretty sure I'm not the only one on with this issue, can someone help me out with some good sources to buy this roundel. In addition, has anyone purchase this mats from AC Schnitzer? and how are they? Looking to replace the mats also.

Thanks in advance.
Xcorpion

Best place for the roundel is from Morristown BMW. You'll find their forum on this board. You could get BMW mats from them too...

don't forget ebay

You'd be amazed what you can find there...I found OEM BMW mats (complete set) brand new in box...40 bucks plus shipping.

as a BMW owner for many years, it seems the longevity of Roundels is on the decline. I often see them beginning to peel after 2-3 years, at which time I replace it with a new one. lame, yes, but at $13-15 per I don't get too worked up about it.

I just bought a set of OEM mats from my dealer for about $75 and subsequently have bought an additional 2 sets, brand new off my local craigslist for about $40 each...seems like a lot of folks are turningin their E53 leases.
