navigation retrofit

hello all
i have install a navigation retrofit and use the same radio but the headunit
has no power on the radio and canot control the radio
the nav seem working but cannot do any setting
can anybody help me on this what i do wrong or missing

i don't understand on the instruction to cut pin 1 pin3 and join together and cut pin10 not used
then disconnect the white 12-pole then cut through the remaining connection
which remaining connection they talk about
