Need to get rid of amber turn signals!!

Hi all,
just picked up my 2004 4.4 in Sterling Grey.

I want to black out those head light orange turn signals.

HOW IS IT DONE???

Not affraid of extensive work so if they have to be taken out and sprayed, no problem

I believe you have to bake open the headlight to do that. Just make sure to seal them properly so they don't leak.

Oh and if you want som Solaris Invisibulbs to complete the look. I have 2 sets I can give you a good deal on. I ordered the wrong sizes.. costs too much to ship back.

You need to buy different light units or Dremel your existing units. They will not bake open. Your '04 should be a "face-lift" model so make sure you buy the correct light units if you go that way.

You need a whole new set of lights..They can't be baked open..Those other guys bought whole new headlights, and then possibly somehow opened them.. ....They have them on ebay but they're like 3 grand...

Hey Rich,

I don't think those are aftermarkets. I think they're the stock headlights that they opened - somehow. You can see that they painted the ambers, at least that's what I THINK they did.

Either way, must cost some money to open them. I may try to buy some used ones and test on them before I try and open mine.

BTW ... its doesn't matter either way as I just scored wuzin's headlights anyways! Still gonna try and open 04+ headlights for kicks.
