door handle sticking?

My door has been sticking the last few days and today when I tried to open it the handle snapped off right in my hand! Now I can't even open it from the outside, anyone ever have anything like this happen? Thanks!!!

My passenger side door handle is sometimes tough to open, you have to pull kind of hard. Sometimes passengers tell me that it's locked, even though I have already unlocked it. I think I'm going to have to take it in for service before I experience what you did.
