51k miles and my CV joint boots took a dump

2003 X5 with 51xxx miles. I went underneath to change out my transfer case fluid and found that both front, outer boots are torn. It was probably due to excessive tight parking lot turns. I asked my BMW master technician friend about it and he says it is a pretty easy job. He will show me how its done with some tricks and it will take probably around 45 min each side since I have air tools. I think I will do the inner and outer boots as well. Looks like I have project next Saturday.

Check the home page for a DIY for this.

In that case, please take some pictures and let us know the shortcuts. May be you can append it to the DIY article?

Yes let us know of shortcuts. The homepage DIY looks like a lot of work. Not really complicated, but tedious. Taking off the entire front suspension doesn't seem like fun.
