3m protective film on door panels?

ok so someone scratched my back right door with their door. omg how can some people be so ignorant and show zero respect for other people's property?

anyway, has anyone put on the 3m films on doors as well? what are the pros and cons (if any)

thanks in advance.

I use it on my door sills and it works great. Never tried it on a door panel, but it would probably work fine. It peels off fairly easily, but leaves a sticky residue. IMO, I don't think it will look all that great on a door panel, and dirt will stick to the adhesive on the edge of the strip.

There is a company in the Bay Area of California that does complete wraps of cars. I can't find their website but maybe SANguru or AutoXer have it. They literally wrap the car and it looks perfect. They have done Enzos, Carrera GT's, and all kinds of amazing cars. Their site shows the process.

I know that shop is some where in automall fremont. but I can't recall the name.

the price for wrapping the whole car is crazy. the carrera GT cost about 15K to wrap it. that is a price for a brand new car.

I have it on my door panels. Under the door moulding, I have film on all 4 doors.
It has kept the sandblasting in the winter to a minimum !

I'm thinking about my hood and front bumpers to protect them against small rocks...
