Air- con wont go off help needed please!

Hi All,

On my 2001 X5 when I take turn the ignition off the air con fan for the footwell remains on, it did this last night and I had to jump start the car this morning as the battery had gone flat - any ideas what this could be?

Hmm..Does it have a "max" button on your climate control? I wonder if its stuck or something?

yes it does, I have tried 'unselecting' all the different buttons including Max and then turning the iginition off - still the same, its stuck on

Could this be a faulty condensor ?

Try replacing the Final Stage Resistor. See home page for instructions.

My final stage resistor went out last summer but I never got the part to fix it because it has worked since then.

Yesterday I turned the AC on and the fan kept blowing after I turned the car off. I haven't checked to see if the battery is dead yet.
