What year is your X5? 2003 and newer can easily add the OEM aux input kit. (can also be added to older models by updating the radio module)
If you install an aux input, you can route your DVD audio through aux instead of through the TV module. You will then have DVD in stereo. You can find a lot of information in the electronics forum and on the home page about this. Another option is to get a DICE kit or similar kit which has a built in stereo aux input. That is a very easy way to add aux input capability through the existing CD changer wiring. Try searching the mobile electronics forum for more info. |

Use the search feature above and search for DICE and also search for Aux. You will find lots of posts and pictures of both in the electronics forum. You won't find much here in the X5 E53 forum.
