VSM and bumblee camera helpp please

So i installed the VSM to work with my navi. Now when it comes time to install the bumblee bee camera to work wit the VSM this is where i run into a problem;

The grey wire(v12 cam) is supposed to trigger the VSM to turn on the rear view camera on my navigation screen.

So i wired that grey wire to the + wire of my reverse lights, and all i got was no image just a bunch of flickering back and forth;

So my question is, if i have a relay where should the grey wire go? Where should the + wirre from the reverse light go? and so on..

And do i even need the little piece of the kit, that has the inputs for video, and left/right audio inputs. or can i just connect the video cord coming from the camera directly into "video1" of the VSM

(i did search a lot!) nothing helped, i need the direct instructions on what to do with a relay, and the grey camera wire coming from the video source module???
