Synchronizing door locks

My doors lock unexpectedly at times. I am terrified to leave the keys in the car even when exiting for even a minute.

On other cars this is a synchronization issue, but is this the case with the X, and how do you do it? Thanks

You mean any one door auto-locks or are you referring to all the doors auto-locking when you start driving? (Also check the tips & tricks page for some advice and do a quick thread search, you might find some good info)

It is not that easy to start driving while still outside the car

Therefore I think he has an issue of auto-locking even if the car is standing still...

The doors normally lock after driving a certain distance or after reaching a certain speed (whichever comes first)... this algorithm seems to be messed up in your case...

Yeah, random with me taking stuff out of the back, just exiting and closing the door, etc. Ignition off. No other problems. I don't think they have ever locked while driving. I know how to synchronize the panoramic roof, but not the doors.

I thought I once saw a thread on this, but can't find it with search even on the web. That is strange. I'll just call the dealer if nobody has been through this.

Yesterday I came home, turned off the ignition, opened the door to get out and "CLICK", all the locks locked!

No other similar experiences here?

Is it possible that your key is malfunctioning and sending out a button push when you don't realize it? In other words does the problem still exist if you use a different key?
