Erroneous Lighting Warnings

I've been having this problem for some time and would like to get some help on where to look next.

It all started with intermittent "tail light" and/or "brake light" not working warnings on my 2001 X5 4.4. But, since they all work fine I've ignored it till now. But, now, I get constant "fog light" warning but they work fine.

I've checked the bulbs, all contacts for corrosions, and the fog light assy but don't see any reasons why I should be getting such a warning.

I assume it's related to some sort of sensing module hidden somewhere. Has anyone had a similar problem and was able to fix it? If so, I would really like to hear about it.

Thanks!
Yoshi
