Question Improving the handling ....

I was driving today on the Deutsche Autobahn pushing the car to its limits, which is 210km/h on the clocks. The road was a bit curvy (gentle) and the surface was not perfect, a bit bumpy. In this situation, the X5 does not feel very confident. I know I can't expect high speed handling like on my Z4, but would like to improve it. I had to brake very hard because of an a**hole who did not look in his mirrors and the X5 started to swerve like hell...I got cold sweat, believe me, when you're breaking from 200 to 100 very hard on a bumpy road.
Would a strutbrace make the car more rigid ? I have 20" wheels btw.

Thanks...

I can drive at 250km/h in my 4.8is X5 and it feels rock-solid and very safe, so it is possible for an X5 to be comfortable at the speeds you mention. You don't mention if you have the sports suspension or not. Improving the coils/dampers would achieve more than a strut brace (which would do nothing to improve stability under braking).

Wild thought out in left field - get 4 wheel alignment and make sure wheels are dynamic balanced and have proper inflation - I know these are things that should be OK, but you start solving problems by eliminating the obvious - Are your tires rated for that speed?
