Celsius to Fahrenheit

Jifffy Lube mistakenly changed my temp settings to C. How do I get them back?

Thanks!

With the ignition key in position 1, press and hold the trip odometer reset button. While holding the button in, turn the key to position 0. This changes the temp display on the A/C and the exterior temp display.

why not donovan? i bought my OEM oil and filter @ BMW and have Jiffy Lube guy change it for me total = $77 even with a courtesy overall check. Do it 3 times a year = $231. DEALER wants $240 for 1 time and say its good for 1 year. If it were you which option would you do? I would take 3 oil changes over dealer 1 change any time. All they do is lift the beast up and drain oil out, replace the filter, put new oil in. Different people take care of their X in different ways.

My thoughts exactly.

$240 for an oil/filter change at the dealership they must be drilling and distilling their own brand of oil for that price

I've had a ton of problems with them in the past. The first was when I had my then-girlfriend drop off her car for an oil change. They told her that they needed to do $400 of work on top of the oil change. She drove back home. I took her car and they did the $29.95 oil change and didn't even try to push the "$400 worth of work" on me.

Another time, they lost the oil pan drain screw on my Tacoma truck. They replaced it with another screw which was larger than the original part, ended up stripping the thread and causing an oil leak.

The oil leak was puzzling me since it was fine before. Went back there to get it fixed and they denied everything. I got an original drain screw from a stealer, and took it to my mechanic- that's when I found out the parts they used were not the same.

I went back there and they continued to deny it, but as a "favor" to me they will fix it. I picked up my truck and drove off. 2 miles later the oil light came on. I pulled over and the "fix" they did was to plug it up with a rubber stopper, which fell out and emptied the oil from my engine. I took no chances this time and had it towed to my indy mechanic.

In the end I had to have my whole oil pan replaced + labor = $700+. Even with a BBB complaint I was SOL since it was my me and my mechanic's word against theirs.

A few friends had similar probs with Jiffy Lube, Speedee, etc, so I generally stay away from those types of places and tell everyone to do the same.

everyone has different experience with shops/mechanics/dealer. yeah, my local bmw dealer really does want $240 for every single oil change, not the oil service. since you already told your bad experiences with jiffy, i am sorry to hear that but even bmw dealer would give you hard time finding your peace of mind when it comes to servicing your vehicle. when i have the jiffy guy change the oil and filter which i bought it from bmw, i watch him like a hawk. his every move that touches my vehicle is carefully observed. he will never do anything else beside replace filter, lift the car up, unscrews the bold, drain oil, put the screw back, lower the car, put new oil in, close the cap, do the overall check underneath the car, under the hood, run the invoice, say bye. the same process 3 times a year.
