CODE 0000 - Major help needed

I have a seperate post regarding some weird functioning of the nav, radio, blinkers and on board computer

This morning, cold start, 35 degrees outside, the truck would not turn over
Code 0000 pulled up on the nav screen, I allowed me to scroll through it then the standard Accept screen came up and the X then started

Any idea on what my issues are

02 4.6ism 78k on the clock and indeed of the standard service has come due, oil change, etc....

please help

It sounds like somehow the lock-out code was set. As you discovered, 0000 is the default code to unlock the vehicle so that it will start. You can program in any code you want (just don't forget the code you use).

It shouldn't. I've had this trigger on my X5 a few times over the last 150,000 miles of ownership. I just chalked it up to the occasional electronic gremlin.
