Newbie Here... with first mod

Hey everyone. Just got my X5 (2002 4.4 sport, premium) on Monday. I love it. Seems to be the perfect compromise between the sports car I want and the SUV (or SAV, for you purists) that I need. Thanks to all on the board for providing great info before and since my purchase. Look forward to becoming an active member here myself.

Already did the first mod too. lol. Hardwired my Passport x50 yesterday. Didn't take long at all, once I got over the paranoia of breaking my trim pieces of my new car...

Nice ride, congrats! All you need is some running boards and your set. Tinted already, just like mine was. Perfect !!!! Good Luck with the ride...

Ya, I actually wish the tint was slightly darker, to closer match the rears. But its not tha tbig of a deal. Running boards a pretty common mod, huh?

Yeah, but not something you have to do now, once you start to mod your X, you will notice that you wont be able to stop moddin.... It's like a disease. My advice since we have the same exact car, color and everything. I'd later on get an intake and an exhaust. Don't do any other mod to the engine. Its not necessary and the cost compared to the results is not worth it. This is just my opinion take it for what its worth. Get the running boards and that's it for the outside, unless you want to get the 4.6 body kit. That's an awesome upgrade, again its really up to you on how much you want to spend. Good luck...
