Is the auto transmission in the E39 540's the same as the 4.4L X5 auto?

Is the auto transmission in the E39 540's the same as the 4.4L X5 auto?

Well looks like i'll be needing to replace the transmission in my 2001 X5 soon (reverse slipping problem

) and i'm researching transmissions to buy. I'm looking to buy a used one (with a warranty of course) however I was wondering if the 540 4.4L E39 auto transmission is the same as the one in my 2001 4.4L X5? According to realoem they are both the 5HP24 (A5S 440Z) transmissions, however it says the x5 tranny is a "4 wheel"? Thanks in advance!
