Have any of you high milers had any major mechanical problems or failures? Inquiring minds want to know. I think I have made up my mind not to get an extended warranty. Thanks,

Lawren

Overall? or in the shortest time? Had 17K in 4 months, managed to slow that to 31k in 15 months. But by October, that will surge to 39K+. Yes, I bought the extended warrantees.

I've have 89600 miles on mine. So far have done the following...

Thermostat
Water pump
vally pan
upper and lower hoses
serpentine belt
coolant res. tank
valve covers
spark plugs
rear main seal
oil sep. and PVC (froze last winter)
both ball joints
Battery
AC Evap. (my mistake on this one, I put a whole in it)
Final stage resistor
Cluster
Gas Cap
Window Reg. on just one window, back window left side.

Now she runs perfect! Sounds like a lot, but my warranty covered all of it, except for the AC Evap., that was my fault and I paid heavy for it. What can I say, if you play you pay.

Does anyone have a warranty expired and if so is there an outside warranty you can get?
