engine starts, then stall, start again, then stall again, !!
i have a 2001 x5 4.4i, i was driving along a raod, then the engine stalls suddenly, then i rolled to the side, and trying to start again, first attempt, i started, the car funs for 2 secs, then stall, second attempt, start again, same thing, stalls again, then i waited for about a min, then start again, with a pump to the gas, then it runs fine, until now (2 days later), it starts no problems, dont see that stall again, does anyone know what was going on? also, the Serivce engine soon light was on, and suddenly, after couple cycles of starting and stop, the light went off, dont have a clue whats going on. if anyone knows, pls let me know thanks |

1. CPS - search for camshaft position sensor
2. Bad Gas 3. goto autozone etc and get the code read ... it prolly will still show up ... Best of Luck! |

Sounds like it could be the igniton switch. Go to a local parts store and have them read the codes like Dandruff said.
