Guys,
I wrote a thread here a while ago about the bluetooth in the X5s and whether or not it was connected to an external antena and I'm so convinced it's not because I was driving through a, what I would describe a bad coverage area, on my cellphone this evening and I always lose the call in the exact same spot while the phone is in the charger in the armrest, but tonight I decided to take it out of the charger and held the back of the phone(where the antenna is located) to the front window and I didn't lose coverage once - so therefore my question is can an external antenna/aerial be connected the that kit that's already fitted in the armrest and also can you put in the specified booster that would normally come with the car kit for that phone model(Nokia 6310i) so instead just use the HFU-2 Control Box and connect it to an antenna for better reception. The phone already works through the Sat Nav display as a wireless handfree so there's no need to wire up a speaker/mic/cradle or holder.... so any ideas or if anyone has tried to modify their phone unit?.......
