Has anyone been here

Has anyone been to Westchester, BMW in NY? If so how was your experience there, I justed wanted to know what people think of the place. Also I have a question, you know they work on your car and you then get your car back and its like a bill for 1500 dollars, claim the dog bones and bushings/control arms are worn out, how true is it that they are worn out, I don't feel a difference in the way my car handles. How do i know the parts are really replaced? cause the don't let be see it when its being worked on and they don't show me after. I'm just asking this because everytime I've gone to the dealer I always come back out with a bill over a 1000.

I personaly have never been to Westchester BMW. However, I am a big fan of BMW of Bridgeport. The new service manager at Bridgeport came from Westchester BMW (20 years there) and said they are going down hill fast. Bridgeport is a bit out of your way, but I know you'll be happy with their service. 30 minutes up 95 to exit 27.

I have also heard some good things about Ridgefield BMW, but have no first hand experience.

they have to return parts if you ask for it

If you request replaced parts they have to give them to you if you ask ahead of time. this is for NY state

Parts
You are entitled to the return of all replaced parts, except warranty and exchange parts, but you must ask for them in writing before any work is done. If you authorize work by phone, the shop must keep any replaced parts, and make them available when you pick up the vehicle.

here's the key excerpt "except warranty and exchange parts".

If the car is still in warranty, no parts.

Out of warranty, you get the parts.

is it okay for me to take my NY, car to bridgeport, since they don't apparently take 3 weeks to give me an appt. Oh I have the 100,000 mile warenty thing, and the other warranty they offer, but i still always end paying some ridicilous amount at this dealership, it just makes me worry that are they really fixing it or not.

I have only good things to say about Westchester BMW. They are a company store and provide very good service.
Check this thread.

A previous GM at Westchester BMW went to BMW of Bridgeport and then he hired some of the sales guys over from Westchester.
