Tow Wire Harness
Just installed the OEM kit and I did a trial run with a trailer, and did not get the lights on the trailer to work. I was told two different stories by the dealership. One said I needed to comein and get it programmed and the other said no it is a plug and play system?? Do I need to go to the dealership or did you guys just do the install and all was good?

The install of the "Trailer Module" on my 2001 4.4i was plug-n-play, i.e. no programming by dealer.

Same here, no programming on my E53, but I suspect the E70 does require programming.

Mine too was a plug-n-play install, with no recoding required.

Check the fuses before doing anything (glove box and right rear panel)
