Help with airbag part number

Hello,
I've been searching for an airbag to go with my sport steering wheel. see my other thread for details.

A friend located one that doesnt show up in realoem. PN 32 306 780 661

I can't find a cross reference, even though he says it's from an 05 X5.

If anyone knows, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks

ED

Can you post a pic of your wheel and the airbag your look at?

Thanks

EDIT!!: I found that when I clicked Euro spec on REALEOEM, it found it. So now my question is will a "euro" airbag function on a US vehicle and not throw a code?? The photo below is EXACTLY what I am doing ie, going from 4 spoke to sport:

Ok I think I know what your trying to do.

You have the 4 spoke wheel fitted as standard to you X5
You want to upgrade to the 2004+ Facelifted wheel
The wheel you have is the 2004+ Facelifted wheel
So what you need is an airbag thats the same shape as the last pic

Right and thanks, but you are answering a question I didnt ask..

I know what I'm trying to do..

I'm now trying to find out if there is any reason a "euro" airbag won't work or will cause an error code in a US vehicle.

That is the question ! Any answers ?

Thanks

I'm not answering a question you didnt ask, I'm saying that all you need to do is purchase a 2004+ Face lifted airbag! It does not matter if its euro or us. BMW have a habit of changing and updating part numbers so thats where I think your getting lost, plus the part number you have for your face lifted steering wheel is an X3 wheel so that will also throw you off!

So the answer is: It doesnt matter if it's Euro or not.

Thanks !!

That's what I was trying to determine.
