Misfire cyl 1 2 & 3 after crank vent and ICV
So after all that, I fire it over, clear the codes, shut it down and start it again. It was idling horribly and threw p1342 p1344 and p1346 (cyl misfire on startup 1 2 3 with fuel cut) in pending codes. Is there something I could have whacked while I was messing with this crank vent junk and the ICV that could misfire the entire 1 bank? I was getting bank 1 and 2 codes for running rich before I did the ICV but I thought they would be because of the valve, not something else. Apparently, it may be something else. Any ideas? |

FYI I think the fuel trims were set very aggresivly by the computer over the period of time the crankcase vent system and the ICV were failing. I reset the codes, drove it around and everything seems to be fine; the diagnostic tool says the computer is leaning out the mix now, so everything seems to be normalizing.
It was dumping too much fuel to keep the car running with a bad crankcase vent and ICV, and now it doesn't have to. Problem solved. |
