Question rear window wiper blade

I have a 2001 X5 Sport. My rear window wiper blade only covers the lower half of the window. I read previous posts about replacing it with a Bosch 18" blade. Is this the only fix and if so where do I find one? Thanks.

the rear blades are 18"

but if the blade isn't wiping all the way, it can be the motor...

and your 2001's plastic arm will need to be replaced with the metal one available at your dealer

Thanks. The motor is working fine. The blade just doesn't come in contact with the window. Is the dealer the only source?

I believe you can purchase Bosch Icon wiper blades aftermarket. They are similar to the blades fitted to the latest X5, in that they have a leaf-spring instead of a frame.

hi, i had the same problem. it was fixed by cleaning and spraying the wiper arm spring part with lots of lube. turned out that the area was rusted a bit so it didnt push the wiper blade on the glass tight enough.
