Buying Used X5 (2001) Hints

Hello,

I am considering buying a used X5 4.4i (2001) with 60,000 mi. I have one a few test drives and really appreciate the power and ride. The condition is excellent as well. The dealer is asking $23,000 USD.

I am a BMW enthusiast and have had the pleasure of owning an early model 750iL, 735i and a 530 but never considered an SAV. Currently my SUV is a Yukon Denali which I use occasionally for towing my boat around town (19' Bayliner).

If you have any advice with regards to X5 history and ownership, I would appreciate your comments.

Thanks

Welcome! Do some quick searches through the forums for "common problems" ect. Items to research: window regulators, cv boots, water pump.

At least the '01 is pretty low in milage all considering. Also look into what kind/if any warrenty you can get.
