SchagenWagen is on a distinguished road
2+ hrs of over 5000 rpms - biggest abuse

to any of my cars so far. My 3.0 manual holded very good, stable and did not overheat (+32C outside).

Ah, do we get a hint as to what you were doing to generate those
rpms over that time period?

I could see how that could happen, being a manual. But still, 5000rpm in 5th gear on the highway is like, 100mph. Unless the guy was driving in Texas..........where the distance between one town and the next is just slightly shorter than moon travel.

Driving in 5th gear on Odessa - Kiev road. No tickets for speeding. Even if it was, $10 is nothing.
